I am not getting reminders

Reminders need three things. First, notifications must be allowed for PrayerTrackr. Open the Settings tab, and if you see a button that says Open phone Settings, tap it and turn notifications on. Second, at least one prayer time must be switched on under Prayer times. Third, you need at least one active request that is set to remind you. A request set to No reminder never appears in a reminder. PrayerTrackr also plans your reminders two weeks ahead and refreshes that plan every time you use the app, so if you have not opened it in more than two weeks, open it once and they will start again.

A request is not showing on Today

Each request belongs to the prayer times you chose for it: morning, midday, evening, or any mix of the three. A request set to midday only will show as Coming up until midday arrives, and then it moves to the top of your list. If you miss a prayer time, the request stays due for the rest of that day. Weekly requests rest for seven days after you pray for them, and weekday requests take the weekend off. You can change any of this by opening the request and tapping Edit.

A reminder named the wrong people

Reminders are written ahead of time, so they describe your list as it was the last time you used the app. If you marked someone as prayed for from the widget, or added a new request and closed the app quickly, the next reminder can be a step behind. Opening PrayerTrackr brings every upcoming reminder up to date.

Changing my prayer times

Open the Settings tab. Under Prayer times you can switch morning, midday and evening on or off and set the time for each one. Every request follows those times, so changing a time there changes it everywhere.

The widget is not updating

The widget refreshes whenever you leave the app, at each of your prayer times, and at midnight. If it looks out of date, open PrayerTrackr and close it again. To add the widget, touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, tap Add Widget and search for PrayerTrackr. The widget follows the light or dark setting of your iPhone, not the appearance you chose inside the app.

How the verses are chosen

Every request is paired with a Bible verse that changes each day. PrayerTrackr looks at the topic you chose and at the words of the request itself, so a prayer for safety at work can bring verses about protection and about work. If a verse does not seem to fit, editing the wording of your request will often bring a closer match the next day. Verses are from the World English Bible.

Shared lists

Shared lists sync through iCloud, so you need to be signed in to iCloud on your iPhone. Open the People tab, tap Shared lists, start a list and tap Invite people to send a link. Anyone with the link can see the list, add requests and mark them as prayed for, so share it only with people you trust. Starting a list requires PrayerTrackr Pro, and joining one is free. If a list looks out of date, pull down on the screen to refresh it. The person who started a list can delete it for everyone, and anyone else can leave it at any time.

Request links

Your request link lets friends send you a prayer request from any phone. Share it from the Settings tab. Your friend fills in a short form and sends you the message it creates. When you tap the link in that message and choose Add to PrayerTrackr, the app opens with the request filled in, ready for you to review and save. Nothing your friend writes is stored online. If the app does not open, make sure PrayerTrackr is installed on the phone where you tapped the link.

Backing up and moving to a new iPhone

Open the Settings tab and find Export your prayers. Back up to iCloud saves a copy of your whole prayer journal to your own iCloud account. On your new iPhone, install PrayerTrackr, open the same place and tap Restore. Restoring only adds what is missing. It never changes or removes anything already on the phone. Backups are made when you tap the button, so make a fresh one before you switch phones. You can also save your prayers as a printable journal or a text file from the same place.

Managing your subscription

Open the Settings tab inside PrayerTrackr. If you are subscribed you will see Manage subscription, where you can change or cancel your plan. If you have reinstalled the app or switched to a new iPhone, tap See Pro and then Restore purchases. You can also manage it in the iPhone Settings app under your Apple Account. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, and cancelling stops the next renewal while leaving your current period intact.

Your data

PrayerTrackr collects nothing. Your requests, updates, answered prayers and prayer history live only on your iPhone, and in your own iCloud if you choose to back up or use shared lists. We never see what you write, and deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. Read the full policy at producertrackr.com/privacy-policy.
