Privacy Policy — Bedrot: Bedtime Control
Last updated: 11 August 2026
Bedrot: Bedtime Control ("Bedrot") is made by ProducerTrackr Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what Bedrot does with your information. The short version: it doesn't collect any.
What we collect
Nothing. Bedrot has no accounts, no sign-in, and no servers of our own. The app contains no networking code and sends no data anywhere. We cannot see your bedtime, your streak, which apps you block, or whether you went to bed on time, because none of it ever reaches us.
What stays on your device
Everything Bedrot knows about you is stored locally on your iPhone, in the app's own storage and in a shared container used by its widget and Screen Time extensions: your bedtime schedule, wake time and wind-down settings; which apps, categories and websites you chose to block; your night history, streak, freeze tokens and sleep debt; and your sleep sound and theme preferences. This data is covered by your device's encryption and is removed when you delete the app.
Screen Time and blocked apps
Bedrot uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Device Activity and Managed Settings) to block the apps you select at bedtime. Your selection is handled entirely by Apple. Apps and categories are represented as opaque tokens that Bedrot cannot read or translate into names, and that information never leaves your device. Bedrot requests Screen Time access for individual use only — it is a self-control tool, not a parental monitoring tool, and it cannot observe another person's device.
Notifications and alarms
Bedtime reminders, the morning report and nap alarms are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification and alarm frameworks. They are not sent from a server, and their contents are not transmitted.
Sleep sounds
The soundscapes are generated on your device in real time. Nothing is streamed or downloaded, and no listening history is recorded.
Subscriptions and payments
Bedrot is a paid subscription. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or handle your payment details, Apple Account, or billing address. Apple tells the app only whether an active subscription exists. You can view or cancel a subscription in Bedrot's Settings, or in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions on your iPhone.
What we never access
Bedrot does not request or use your camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, calendar or health data. It contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs of any kind. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated App Store statistics such as download and crash counts. These cannot identify you, and we receive nothing else.
Children
Bedrot is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA/CPRA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data a company holds about you. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to produce or erase. Deleting the app removes everything Bedrot stored on your device. We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not have any.
Changes
If Bedrot's data practices ever change — for example if we add optional accounts or cloud sync — we will update this policy and the "last updated" date above before that feature ships.
